David Calcutt writes plays and poems as well as stories. Some of his plays have been broadcast on BBC Radio and some are published for use in schools, youth theaters and colleges. He has also directed several large-scale community plays. More recently he has been writing poems for children inspired by Sandwell Valley Country Park in the West Midlands of England.

Grahame Baker-Smith won the Kate Greenaway Medal in 2011 for his children's book, FArTHER. Leon and the Place Between was shortlisted in 2010. With a career now stretching back twenty years, Grahame continues to challenge himself in his work and incoporates digital techniques alongside traditional media.
