Who is eligible for the Challenge?
The Challenge is open to all Community Booksellers who are currently enrolled in the program in North America.
How do I earn prizes?
The 2025 Q4 Community Bookseller Challenge has 5 levels.
Step 1: Reach $500 in Gross Sales (total sales before your 50% Community Bookseller discount) during the challenge period and receive a “Books can Change the World” hoodie or $50 in Barefoot Bucks.
Step 2: Reach $1,000 in Gross Sales (total sales before your 50% Community Bookseller discount) during the challenge period and receive a set of 6 hardcover Spring 2026 releases (and a “Books can Change the World” hoodie) or $100 in Barefoot Bucks.
Step 3: Reach $2,500 in Gross Sales (total sales before your 50% Community Bookseller discount) during the challenge period and receive a $200 gift card to invest in their business or the social impact initiative of their choosing (and a “Books can Change the World” hoodie) or $250 in Barefoot Bucks.
Step 4: Reach $5,000 in Gross Sales (total sales before your 50% Community Bookseller discount) during the challenge period and receive a $400 voucher towards a Spring 2026 gathering in Concord, MA (and a “Books can Change the World” hoodie) or $500 in Barefoot Bucks.
Step 5: Reach $10,000 in Gross Sales (total sales before your 50% Community Bookseller discount) during the challenge period and receive a $1,000 voucher towards a trip to France (highest 8 performers who achieve level 5) and a “Books can Change the World” hoodie or $1,000 in Barefoot Bucks.
Prizes are not cumulative, and they are not transferable.
Community Booksellers can achieve the required sales threshold through Personal, Event or Referral orders.
Where can I see my progress towards achieving the challenge?
A landing page showing all Community Booksellers in the running will be updated weekly and winners will be announced in the Facebook Group. The final list of achievers will be posted on the landing page the week of January 12, 2026, and winners will be notified via email.
When will I receive my prize?
The final Leaderboard will be shared during the week of January 12, 2026. All achievers will receive a notification via email with instructions on how to redeem their prizes. All prizes should be dispatched by March 31, 2026*. Please note, in the event of an unforeseen circumstance, Barefoot Books reserves the right to substitute prizes if required. Acceptance of these prizes authorizes Barefoot Books to use winners’ names, images, etc. in future marketing materials. Achievers will have the option of declining their prize, should they so choose. Prizes are not transferable.
