Marianne's Barefoot Story
My name is Marianne and I am mother to two delightful girls. Way back in 2009 the company I worked for closed and, once the summer was over, I started to look for part-time work; not so easy back then (or now for that matter).
One day we were sorting out the bookshelves to decide what to pass on to younger cousins...."but Mummy you can't give that away, it's my favourite" (Herb the Vegetarian Dragon)...."Noooo, that one's got a recipe" (Mama Panya's Pancakes)...."Oh, I wanted to read that myself once I can do the big words" (Magic Hoofbeats). Of course there were other favourites but I couldn't part them from any of the Barefoot Books!
To cut a long story short I became an Ambassador. Life has since moved on; I founded a crafty workspace in our village & the girls can now read anything I can, but we all still love the Barefoot stories.
