     MEETING CHILDREN WHERE THEY ARE TODAY... I had been happily retired for about five years. But one day I came across Barefoot Books and fell absolutely in love with them. Certainly in love enough to bring me out of retirement! The books are definetly not the "Dick and Jane Books" I so adored growing up but honestly neither is the world, the world I grew up in. The creative writers of Barefoot Books have found a way to help children so gently and positively connect with their world today. At a time when we need to teach kindness, compassion, and similarities verses differences, Barefoot has rose to the occassion. These are top quality, healthy books that children will connect and learn with instantly. I joined the team as a Community Bookseller to celebrate the "GOOD" that still exists. Sharing a quality product is an honor. I only wish I could sit with every child and discuss the delightful stories as they make their way through the book... however, ... selling them is a blessing.
