Book Fair in a Box
How to Get Started
STEP 1. Sign In or Register
With a school or nonprofit account*, you can create a virtual book fair today.
- Either sign in to your school / nonprofit account, or
- Register for a new account (review and approval for new accounts may take up to 2 business days)
Community Booksellers can also create online events for any customer.
STEP 2. Order a Book Fair in a Box
Increase sales at your online book fair when you share a selection of Barefoot Books for parents and teachers to view before they order.
Our Book Fair in a Box comes with everything you need to create a bright and engaging display of 22 of our most popular books for children ages 3 - 7, along with 25 catalogs, a table sign and a Barefoot Books storage box.

If your school or organization serves younger or older children, augment the Book Fair in a Box with an add-on set for Infants and Toddlers or School Age children.

One-time use on any school order containing Book Fair in a Box and/or book fair add-on sets). After the book fair ends, store your Book Fair in a Box for next time or use the books in your classrooms or libraries.
STEP 3. Set up your Online Event
- Visit My Account > My Events.
- Click or tap "Create a New Event."
- Enter details about your book fair and save.

STEP 4. Create your book fair display
Use the branded Barefoot box as the centerpiece of your display and arrange books around and against it. Add the Barefoot Books table sign and a stack of Book Fair Flyers with your 5-digit Event ID.

Recommended: Post teacher / classroom wish lists next to your book fair display to help parents support your school. Many people will purchase gifts for teachers even when they are not shopping for themselves.
STEP 5. Find and Share the Event Link
- Visit My Account > My Events to find your 5-digit Barefoot Books Event ID.
- Instruct your supporters to visit www.barefootbooks.com/bookfairorders and enter your Event ID to find your book fair and shop from the entire Barefoot Books catalog. You can also share the full event link online by copying the Event URL.

STEP 6. Parents Shop - You Earn
Every time an order is placed through your book fair, you earn 20% in Barefoot Bucks (online store credit). 1 Barefoot Buck = $1 in store credit.

STEP 7. Choose Your Free Books
- Sign in to your school or nonprofit account and fill your cart.
- Then proceed to checkout.
- On the Payment screen, click on Apply Barefoot Bucks and enter the amount you wish to redeem in that order. If a balance is due, you may select from any of the payment methods outlined on our School and Nonprofits FAQ.

If you prefer, you can contact a Community Bookseller to set up your virtual book fair and provide guidance on promoting your event.
