Stephanie Taylor, Community Bookseller

Hello, my name is Stephanie and I am a ceritfied elementary and special education teacher near Atlanta, GA.  I am also trained vocalist studying music in NC.  I started to wonder if there was a book of opera for children that could engage them both in words and illustrations.  While searching, The Barefoot Books of Stories from the Opera.  This was the beginning of my "why" as an ambassader aka Community Bookseller.

As a Community Bookseller and owner of Crows & Cockatoos, LLC, I strive to create a safe space of learning through arts and crafts with an emphasis in reading and math.  MY goal is to help children who need more help with coprehension.  Barefoot Books is a great publisher of children’s books with each book loaded with engaging words and stunning illustrations.  The books come alive.  Because of this, I believe children will be able to comprehend when they can create their own “illustrations” – be that a coloring rendition or an architectural craft.
