My story begins with my five children who we have homeschooled from the beginning of their elementary education. My desire has always been to have a rich library with families that look like ours and other families that may not be deemed the norm by society. As a biracial family who care deeply about social justice, diversity, inclusivity and socially conscious books and curriculum have been at the forefront of our homeschooling way of life. 

I have admired Barefoot Books for years and have never had the confidence to take the leap and join as a Community Bookseller myself.

Right now I am at a point in my life where I am building my independence for my family and want to continue encouraging families and schools to build diverse libraries. I am hopeful beginning this journey and can't wait to get reading with my kiddos!
