Angela Aernouts, Community Bookseller
My journey to become a community bookseller started with a trip to Pentwater, Michigan to visit a children's book store called Storybook Village. I am a preschool teacher for Head Start and I am always on the look out for quality books for early learners that are colorful, diverse, and unique.
Barefoot Books captured my attention with the book A Shelter's Story and Motherbridge of Love. I inquired about more diverse stories and the clerk directed me to more titles. Needless to say, I left the store with many books in tow. I have been an avid reader since I was a child and believe that the magical journey into books help create who we are as adults. I am excited to be part of this amazing company that is intentional on diverse books!
