Sarah Hernandez, Community Bookseller

Hello parents, guardians, and educators! My name is Sarah Hernandez and I am delighted to be a part of sharing the beautiful stories and educational activities that Barefoot has to offer! I graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor's degree in sociology and Spanish language after spending close to a year studying and interning in Latin America. I have since been working primarily in childcare and elementary education. 

My passion is encouraging children (and adults!) to be authentic and proud of who they are. I was drawn to explore Barefoot Books after seeing the diverse characters, bright artwork, and culturally sensitive topics that are represented throughout the collection. Developing a love of reading early in life will encourage confidence, spark imagination, and cultivate character that will last a lifetime! I can't wait for you and your child to fall in love with these beautiful stories and discover new favorites.
