"I have been an educator since 2010. Before moving to the USA in 2017 I was an ESL Teacher in my home country Lima, Peru. Nowadays, I am a Dual Language Spanish teacher in Virginia. I teach in a public school and I am currently working with a diverse community. I love that Barefoot Books has so many diverse books in Spanish and English so I can use them in the classroom and share them with my students who are becoming bilingual and biliterate. Through reading, they are able to explore the world and see themselves in the beautiful and inclusive stories. My students love exploring different cultures in the books and I am grateful for Barefoot Books for providing that opportunity to them."
