About Me
Hello. I’m Tatiana, and I live in South East London with my husband, Williams, and young daughter, Ilana. Being a Barefoot Books Ambassador enables me to work from home and within my community while spending maximum time with Ilana. It’s lovely that she can take a genuine interest in my work since she test-drives all the products. Currently 'Tenzin's Deer' and 'Herb The Vegetarian Dragon' are our favorites!Friends had given us gifts of Barefoot Books and they captured our imagination, made us laugh and promoted values that are important to us. Many of the books have something quirky or heart-warming about them. We like that because we’re a multi-cultural family with a fairly alternative lifestyle.
Quite a few of our favourite books are about Africa, Williams’ motherland, or about being happy, healthy and compassionate which are my key interests. I am also a Parenting Coach and a big dream is to be part of creating new Barefoot books that show this wonderful way of raising children and being a family.
To be honest, dancing comes before reading in our family and I was thrilled to see that Barefoot stock all the Putamayo Records kids series. The highlight of our daughter’s third birthday party was the African disco thanks to ‘African Playground’. We also sing along with the groovy Playground compilations ‘European Playground’, Animal Playground' and 'Folk Playground', especially on long car journies!
