About Me
I have always been obsessed with reading and books, my Mum said she never saw me without something to read in my hands. As a parent I have shared my love of books with my three children. As a Registered Childminder and Playworker at the local Family Centre I try tospread the importnace of books and reading.In amongst the books on my children's bookshelves were copies of Barefoot Books. I loved them and bought them when I saw them but it was not until I saw the Llyfrau Barefoot books that I tried to find out more.
As a Registered Childminder in Wales I have found it difficult to find beautiful, multicultural books in the Welsh language, I happened to find them on a stall at an S4C/TWF event. That evening I started my Barefoot Journey, by finding more information and by the next day I had become very excited about the prospect of becoming an Ambassador. Within the week I had become an Ambassador and made my first sales. As a stallholder in Wales I also stock Llyfrau Barefoot books which are not available to order over the internet. My children dive into the boxes when I get new deliveries of books. One of the girls' favourite at the moment is the Barefoot Book of Princesses and the Folkmanis Princess Puppet, as of course, they are both princesses too. They also adore the Magic Hoofbeats book and CD.
Being an Ambassador means that I am able to share these wonderful, beautiful books and gifts with children and adults all over the UK. Being an Ambassador is a very flexible way of earning an extra income if you want to sell Barefoot books around your other commitments, that's fine. If you want to become more involved and to build your stallholding into a part or full time business that is also possible. There is lots of support whichever way you want to progress.
And so as I continue my Barefoot Journey I would like to offer you an invitiation to join me on the way. You may wish to buy some books and share them with your own children, or give them as a gift? You may like to host your own home party for friends? Maybe you would like me to come and support you at a fundraiser?
