About Me
Hi my name is Jamaica Stevens, Founder and Executive Director of JAMaROO Kids. We are a small Bay Area company that offers enrichment programs for young children.My interest in other cultures began through studying dance and music as a child. It wasn't until years later that I developed a love for world travel. As an educator, I am always striving towards creating new and exciting ways to integrate my travel experiences into JAMaROO Kids curriculum. This is how I became a fan of Barefoot Books. Through their products I have found:
-wonderful books which we use in our storytelling program
-music from around the world that we use in our dance, yoga, and music classes
-Sing-a-long Books our students love in our music classes
-fun teaching aids we use in our yoga classes
-Beautiful puppets we use as visual aids in all our classes
I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to share these products with you that promote literacy, creativity, diversity, and a love for the environment and the arts! I hope you enjoy them as much as our students and teachers do at JAMaROO Kids.
