About Me
I first met Barefoot Books at a school Christmas Fair in 2006. “Grandmother’s Stories – Wise Women Tales from many Cultures” first caught my eye; maybe because I can’t wait to be a Grandma or perhaps because I aspire to be a wise woman(!). I joined the programme the same evening and haven’t looked back since.With a career in language teaching and translating I immediately appreciated the high quality of our lovely books but was hesitant as to whether a lack of sales experience would be a hindrance. No worries there though as our beautiful books are easy to promote and the ethos behind our company is one that strikes a chord with mums everywhere and always provides a talking point.
I am delighted with the way my business is growing and have great plans for the future. I have gained a wealth of experience in events of all kinds from small home parties, through school visits to large scale education conferences and marketing shows.
I have a lovely team of ambassadors offering mutual help and support in building our businesses in a way that suits the personal circumstances, skills and abilities of each and every one of us.
