After the birth of my son, I kept looking for a diverse set of books that not only spoke to his story in America, but told stories of other people in Different communities in a fun, age appropriate and enjoyable way. I searches the web and Barefoot books found me. I bought a couple of books before I knew you could be an ambassador for the brand. I enjoy their new releases, because they seem to always aim to address an issue—whether that be minority representation, women in STEM, the environment, world awareness, kindness and community—and I appreciate that. As a lover of books, a trait I inherited from my own mother, Barefoot books has become my go-to for teaching my children about themselves and the world they live in. It’s a bonus to be able to share that with other people so they can discover the awesomeness that is Barefoot books.
