About Me
I have reached the one year anniversary of joining Barefoot Books! The journey so far has far exceeded my expectations. My first event was September 27, 2009. It was a small town fair on a rainy day. I was in the back hall away from all the foot traffic. I sold about $100 in products and signed up my first team member. My second cash and carry event was about a month later. I sold over $600 in products and signed up my second team member. Wow, I was on a roll! From that point until the beginning of June 2010 I sold over $10K in products at 22 events and signed up 3 more team members. I took the summer off and now look forward to starting my second year as a Barefoot Books Ambassador and Team Leader.One of my objectives in joining Barefoot Books was sharing these great products with my own kids, now ages 3 and 4. They affectionately refer to the crates in my garage as "mommy's bookstore". All visitors to our home are entertained with puppet shows featuring the whole menagerie of Folkmanis animals. On car rides, before the seat belts are buckled or the car out of the driveway they are screaming for BfB music! What a joy it is to see my kids so passionate for reading, singing, listening, pretending, creating....and making it all that much more accessible and "working" at the same time. This is what its about.
