About Me

My mother, an English teacher and avid reader/book collector, instilled in me a love for reading and books. Some of the fondest childhood memories I have are cuddling up with my mom while she read to me. I married a writer, whose love of literature equals my own. Once we had our son, Owen, it was important to us that he would be exposed to quality children's literature. I was thrilled to find Barefoot Books. The quality, message and company philosophy was just what I was looking for. After I went to the Barefoot Books in FAO Schwartz, and had a chance to peruse through the selection, I knew I had to become involved as an Ambassador.

I love being a stay at home mom and caring for my son and another baby, but still needed to bring in some extra income (like I said, my hubby is a writer! lol). I was searching for an opportunity that I could feel good about, and am so glad to have found Barefoot Books. Prior to staying home with Owen I worked in marketing and event planning. I am glad that I am able to combine my creativity, love of books, and my knowledge and skills in marketing and event planning all while contributing to the greater good and exposing children to different cultures, world views, and excellent literature and music!
