About Me

I am a married mother of 5 wonderfully creative, brilliant, silly, active, mischievous, book loving children. This comes as no surprise given that my husband and I are avid consumers of books- with every move we haul box after box of books, everything else we own is optional (well, except for the kids!). In my other life I am a professor in education- I am blessed to perform these duties from my home, thank you distance education. In addition, I operate a fun website Mom's Daily Retreat- here I focus my energy on working with moms and have fun maintaining a "mommy blog."
My family has grown to thoroughly enjoy our Barefoot ventures, attending local events, visiting friends and family at home events and everyone takes the job of book critic seriously- with each new book that Barefoot publishes, I have a house full of readers anxious to offer their opinions. It is impossible to define the positive impact Barefoot has had on my family- from developing a love of books to cultivating a smooth operating team as we share our love of these books with our community.
