About Me
I am a freelance writer and mother of one currently living with my family in the suburbs southeast of Phoenix, AZ. I joined Barefoot Books in 2005 because I truly believe in their mission to celebrate art and story and I hoped that I could bring their extraordinary products to a wider audience in my community. Books have always been vitally important in my own life and I believe very strongly that it was my early exposure to quality books that made me the lifelong reader I am today. When I had a child of my own, I made sure that I made the same careful selections about the kind of books my son was exposed to and Barefoot Books featured prominently in my choices. I'm happy to say that my son Cooper is a 14 year old avid reader and honor student now and while I certainly can't give Barefoot all the credit for his reading and academic success, Barefoot Books were always among his favorites as he was growing up. I believe that fostering a love of reading in early childhood contributes to a lifelong love of learning in general so I am proud to work with and represent a company that promotes reading in so many beautiful and unique ways.
