Herb, The Vegetarian Dragon
Teaching about Vegetarianism
8-Jan-2011Kids will love this story about a non meat-eating dragon! He is in trouble because, as an outsider, he is not aware that the kingdom is at war with the meat-eating dragons. His capture inspires a little girl to speak up in his defense. My favorite part is when the meat-eating dragons offer to save him if he switches over to eating meat and he replies "I don't ask you to stop eating meat, so why do you ask me to stop eating vegetables?" We looove the drawings too and I won't spoil the end for you and yours!

A description of each stop along with a magical story to go along with it makes this book unique and so enjoyable! My 9 year old loved the magic along the way and my 4 year old loved the drawings and the stories as well! Now, we are inspired to travel to China some day!
