This is a wonderful story book, in true Barefoot style it has fantastic artwork but it also introduces you to yoga poses. This what makes it so fun to present as a story time. Usually I read and attempt the yoga myself but on occasions I have had yoga instructors come up on stage and show the children how to get into each pose. The story is sweet, it begins with all the children in a classroom in circle time telling us what there parents do each day. Many different nationalities are represented. Each time a child says what job her Daddy does, there is a child saying and My Daddy is a .....(tree, bridge, dog etc). These all represent the different yoga poses. Then on the next page there are details on how to do each pose. The book is written by the well known Baron Baptiste and illustrated by Sophie Fatus. I would recommend this book for ages three onwards. Older children love the detail too and some adults even by the book.
