Secret Seahorse

Great Sealife Book
Aug-28-2010

I live on the Atlantic Ocean and this book is a top seller for my Barefoot business. I give it as a gift repeatedly and I LOVE THE ART! I honestly could look at these pages over and over and has been an inspiration in my own felting work.

My Daddy is a Pretzel

Pretzel Indeed
Aug-28-2010

This book is highly recommended! It stops everyone in their tracks when I am at an event and is beloved by everyone I share it with. Truly, I have had much fun with this book and children...really cute. My favorite part is to see my son and his friends do yoga together letting this book be their guide...PRICELSS. Sophie Fatus is one of my favorite Barefoot artists, so that helps too!

Who's in the Garden?

Peek-A-Boo

Very engaging art...AGAIN! I do not have a toddler but my 6 year old likes to spend a lot of time studying each page as there is a lot going on.

The Story Tree

LOVE THIS BOOK
Aug-28-2010

I love this book, I know I said it already and I would say it again! You get so much out of this book...really out of most anthology books. The art is magnificent, very colorful and beautifully placed around the story. My favorite story in the book is the African-American story The Sweetest Song...my son and I laugh everytime we read it. Not to mention the excellent Hugh Lupton doing the audio CD...who doesn't love to listen to a true storyteller?

The Sounds Around Town

Interesting sounds for sure
Aug-28-2010

I'm not a big fan of this book. I do love Maria's art, especially after meeting her. But the book itself is not one of my favorites. I have to admit that writing a book about sound would be tricky as I believe the way to "learn" sounds is to hear them.

How Big is a Pig?

So...how BIG is PIG?
Aug-28-2010

This book is very popular and I have a hard time keeping it stock. I can't decide if it's the title, the amazing art or the adorable storyline?! I love this book and all of Clare Beaton's books. Her introduction to richer vocabulary is invaluable.

Herb, The Vegetarian Dragon

Herb, our garden dragon...
Aug-28-2010

This book is really cute. It's underlined message in the story is to celebrate the differences within one another, not conform them to your beliefs. Herb is a vegetarian dragon and does not like to feast on Princesses, that makes him very unpopular in the dragon world. But does his example prevail? You'll have to read it to find out.

Alligator Alphabet

So cute...

Truly, can you think of an animal for every letter? It can be done and very well, might I add, in this cute book.

Tales from Celtic Lands

Beautiful Images
Aug-28-2010

I love this book for it's images and celtic designs bordering each page. Very educational about the Irish culture. Many of the stories emphasize good character by strong men and women. The audio CD is great for "down time" for children that do not nap but need to relax.
