Fantastic intro to more difficult vocabulary
Jun-28-2009There are so many reasons why I love this book. The English teacher in me loves the use of synonyms throughout and from experience, repeated readings do help to get younger kids to use these words in their regular vocabulary. The mom in me likes that it has a humorous dinosaur story that the kids enjoy. Then the artwork is just adorable! This one is well suited to kids ages 2-5.

Jun-28-2009This book is great for the younger dinosaur fan, perhaps ages 2-4. The illustrations are actually fabric art and very colorful. The text rhymes, but is not sing-songy. The hardcover version has information about the dinosaurs depicted in the books along with a handy pronunciation guide.

Jun-28-2009My boys love this books because of the quirky illustrations and fluid language, but they REALLY love to listen to the story CD. The narrator is easy to understand and enjoyable to listen to, and the sound effects make the kids laugh every time.
