The Beeman

Busy bees love reading The Beeman!

We’ve now read this book many, many times and we all enjoy reading it over and over! Its told from the viewpoint of a child whose Grandpa is a beekeeper. The rhyming text offers a great introduction about the behavior of bees and where they live, how honey is made, and what a beekeeper does (and why they wear that suit!). My kids loved learning about the important role of bees in our world and we were excited to find the yummy muffin recipe on the last page (we plan on making it very soon)! Here's what my kids thought of The Beeman, with quotes straight from them: Connor (7) ~ “I like that the boy learns about bees from his Grandpa. I really like how they show what the bees do and all of the facts in the back of the book.” Ella (5) ~ “I like this book because I like bees. I like honey, too. I want to make those muffins!”
