Magic Hoofbeats

I think it's best suited for 9+. This is very much a fairy tale collection with wizards threatening mayhem and princesses being married off. Nonetheless, my 7-year-old *loves* this book.

Beautiful artwork and gives kids a beginning sense of our world. This 100-piece puzzle along with the Around The World map make a terrific gift set. Perfect for the 5-6 year olds. Combine it with "Granny Goes To Market" and you have a world-wide hit!

The Real Princess

Fun way to introduce math

I knew I was going to like this book because I have a math degree. :-) But I loved it even more as my daughter was following along adding and subtracting with the action of the story. This is a new version of The Princess and the Pea.
