I'll never forget my first Barefoot Book

I happened upon the Barefoot Books store in Cambridge and bought this title for my son. Aside from the great art work, what attracted me to the book was the sales person in the store who told me one of the stories. It was "The Blind man and the Hunter" which is still one of my very favorites. And it is still a story I can't read out loud without getting teary because it so poignant. I love the selection of multi-cultural stories that range from touching to thought-provoking to humorous. It was my kids birthday gift of choice to give to their friends for a few years in a row. Since then, there is now a version with CD to listen to the books aloud. It doesn't get any better than this one!!
