  • Yes, we have a secure server for your credit card payments. We do not keep credit cards on file so they cannot be accessed after your transaction is complete.

  • We accept the following major credit cards: American Express, Discover, Mastercard and Visa.

  • To purchase products on our site, simply click on the "add to basket" button for each product and check out as you do for any online orders. If you'd like us to remember your contact information for easy ordering, please register today.

  • Unfortunately, gift wrapping is not available at this time. We hope to make it available sometime in the future.

  • Gift cards are available on our North American website for purchase in denominations of $25, $50, and $100. They can be used toward payment of any order being placed on our Barefoot Books North American website. We ship our Barefoot Books gift cards for free via UPS (signature required).

    Gift cards cannot be discounted, though you can still use a discount coupon toward other eligible items in your cart. We encourage customers to register their gift cards with us to protect it in case it's lost or stolen.

  • Barefoot Books ships to addresses in North America including Canada, Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico addresses. Rates are based on service level you select, order weight and destination (zip/postal code).

    • The available shipping options for your order are based on the contents of your order. Shipping options include:

      USPS Economy
      (up to 12 business days): available on all orders with books and/or CDs; No tracking number will be available
      USPS Priority
      (up to 7 business days): available on a few orders; No tracking number will be available
      UPS Ground (up to 9 business days): available on all orders
      UPS 2nd Day Air (2 business days): available on all orders; standard 2nd day charges apply; order must be received by 11am EST
      UPS Next Day Air (1 business day): available on all orders; standard next-day charges apply; order must be received by 11am EST

    • Our processing time at the warehouse is 2 business days. The estimated time that we have above includes the processing time at our warehouse.
    • Appropriate sales tax will be added to orders shipped to addresses in Massachusetts, Wisconsin, California and Washington.
    • Shipping options vary according to specific location. Not all options are available for every location. Shipments to Canada also include an additional $9.99 service fee.
    • Tracking information is only available for UPS (Ground, 2nd Day, and Next Day) orders at this time.
    • UPS will only accept shipments to a valid street address. UPS does not deliver to P.O. Boxes.
    • Free shipping orders are valid only for the 48 Continental United States and Canada. For Canadian shipments, standard upcharges apply.
    • We reserve the right to change shipping charges at this time.
  • Yes, you will receive an order confirmation email once we receive your order. A shipping confirmation email will be sent to you when the order leaves our warehouse, which is usually within 2 business days.

  • We only provide tracking information for orders shipped via UPS. The tracking information will be in the email confirmation you receive after your order was shipped.  You will also be able to check the status of your order, including tracking information, on the order history page of your account.

    Orders shipped via USPS are not trackable. 

  • You may return products to us for any reason within 30 days of receipt. Products must be returned in the condition in which they were received for full refund to be given. Please include your packing slip, detailing the reasons for the return, relevant product exchange information, or request for credit.

    CDs, DVDs, stationery, puzzles, games, puppets and all other non-book products must be returned in their unopened packaging. Credits will not be issued on any prepackaged products that are returned opened unless they are found to be defective. Please email help@barefootbooks.com if you have received any damaged or defective products. 

    You will need to pay for the cost of shipping on returns, other than returns of damaged or defective products. Please email help@barefootbooks.com if you have received any damaged or defective products.

  • Yes, but each shipping location requires a separate order.

  • The following are some of the benefits for having an account with us:

    • You can view your order history and we'll remember your contact details, which makes checkout quick and easy. 
    • We will also keep you up-to-date on our latest releases, community news and special offers.
    • Simply enter your email and a password to set up your account, and you'll have the option to create a billing address and to save several delivery addresses.

  • Please fill out your email address in the form provided and we will send you an email with instructions to reset your password. Click here to reset your password.

  • If you are a registered user, you can sign into your account at any time by clicking on the link at the top of the page. You will also have the option to log in at checkout. Once logged into your account, you can edit your account details by clicking My Account on the top of the page or on the left hand panel. Register or log in now.

  • When you register to become a member of the Barefoot Books community, we will send you email updates on exciting Barefoot Books news and events, as well as special offers and promotions. If you wish to opt out of receiving these offers, you may do so during the registration process, or update your email preferences in your account settings at any time. Our Barefoot Books policy is never to rent or sell details of our community members to other companies.
